Watch Sale Roundup: Rolex, Longines, Waltham

rolex explorer II

1990 Rolex Explorer II 16570$2,900 SOLD

1990 Rolex Explorer 16570

Good find for somebody looking to get into Rolex, but not wanting to spend $4k+.

Downside: lugs are slightly shaved, doesn’t come with box/papers or stainless band – Upside: your’re getting a Rolex sports watch in perfect working condition that will last a lifetime (with little to no headache) for $2,900!

The white dial is eye catching and more sought after than the black Explorer II. Also, you get a GMT, date, in-house movement, and rock solid water resistant case from a brand with tons of history and manufacturing prestige. If I didn’t already have a Rolex 16570 Polar, this would be a top contender for my next watch.

Longines (circa 1960)£449 ($509.57) SOLD

Longines circa 1960

Everything about this watch is clean, including the condition. At 37mm, it’s a little larger than most vintage pieces, and the movement(12.68Z manual wind movement) is beautiful. Well respected brand and an intelligent choice for $509. The hands/markers, dial, second hands, and case also jump out at me as being classic and timeless. Signed crown looks original, and not funky, which is another bonus.

NOS Waltham P307 Calendar – $380

Walthham P307 Calendar

Another vintage value buy. The blue dial, movement, and American watch making history are all a steal for $380. Oh and by the way, it’s in brand new condition (never worn) with original box and all accessories. No big deal! 🙂
